While not as gritty as the movie it’s based on, this series brings an exciting combination of fun and danger! Maybe it’s nostalgia, but it reminds me so much of the late ‘90s - early 2000s animated kids shows I used to love! My only complaint is the small number of episodes.

I enjoyed the crazy creature designs, and the characters were all either amusingly funny or borderline psychotic enough to keep me engaged. But what really won me over was the way they built-up to the final kaiju clash, teasing out a dramatic reveal and giving it actual emotional stakes in the best way possible.
