An unimpressive entry into the series, this movie's real saving grace was its comedic relief. From the senseless goading of the main villains to the strange "Scooby-Doo"-like chase scene, it offered just enough laughs to make it tolerable.

It's definitely more on the silly side (the occasional threat of child murder aside), and it's a bit of an ad for Sea World. Still, the villian kaiju was neat, and it never went on a binge of re-used monster footage, so it was overall enjoyable.
