While the series seems to be maintaining its pendulum swing between horrifying and childish, this one did a much better job at mitigating he jarring shifts in tone the previous film suffered from. This one I would watch again!

It's another lower-budget kiddie flick, but it manages to come across a little less annoying and has some brutal kaiju action. It's also somehow even darker at times than the last film, which only adds to the entertainment value.
