This movie was everything I expected it to be! And while the ending was easily predictable, the final result was as spectacular as I hoped! That said, this movie seemed to lose a bit of the tone of the others.

It's a little more outlandish, but it's all in service of delivering epic kaiju battles, so I'm not too sad. All of the characters are likeable, if a little underserved, and Kong gets a little more depth which is nice. Most importantly though, the film more than delivers on its title, with some of the best showdowns the MonsterVerse has to offer.

The first time we we watched it was fairly late so she fell asleep towards the end, but we've watched it again since.
