Saying "it's Jaws on steroids" does this movie a disservice. Shark movies, even giant shark movies, are not exactly new or original. But this one makes for a fun, action-packed, and at times touching experience.

It's a fun movie with a solid cast and some great action. What bumps it up a notch for me is the ending, where it truly starts to embrace the concept of "Jason Statham vs Giant Shark," and that helps it land solidly as a good time.
