The third movie in the series fell flat on its face for me. The new monster looked so uninspired it seems like an afterthought. Its only saving grace was the laughably comical monster abilities and Gamera's inability to feel pain!

The kaiju action reaches a new high for the series, but the childish antics pick up as well, so overall it ends up being a bit of a wash. Still, the introduction of perhaps Gamera's most iconic nemesis is also a big point in it's favor.
